Charitable Head Shave

Football can be a stressful sport to watch and there are some games where you feel as if you can pull all your hair out. Well on 2nd September, a group of six MK Dons supporters did lose their hair in a less stressful way.

Oliver Welch, Jason Ferguson, Shane Spurling, Paul Anderson, Edan Thorpe and his son Tyler have all met through football at MK Dons and they continue to support the club home and away. Last year, a fellow Dons supporter Gareth "Beanie" Whiteside tragically lost his life and this group of fans have committed to shaving their heads to raise funds for two worthwhile causes in his memory.

The two charities that will benefit are Willen Hospice & TOPS. Willen Hospice provides specialist end of life care for Adults in Milton Keynes and is a cause which is close to many peoples hearts in Milton Keynes. TOPS supports children and adults who are born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula or Oesophageal Atresia. This is a rare malformation of the windpipe and is a condition which Beanie was born with.
